This is the Old Family Quilts pattern that got us started. Our variation of a Feathered Star is one of the easier ones of that design to construct since there are no inset corners. If you're counting, this queen size quilt has over 3,000 individual pieces! But never fear, modern techniques, including precise paper cutting templates, make this Feathered Star go together without the "fudge factor" my ancestor had to use. This is a pieced quilt with outline quilting suitable for intermediate to experienced quilters.
