My latest quilt pattern is designed around the totally new needle felting technique introduced by the Colonial (TM) Needle Company at this year's Quilt Market.
In this technique, Felting Needles are used to apply dyed wool
fiber onto a base fabric. It's so easy to make stunning one-of-a-kind quilts starting with felt or the newly popular wool
fabrics, and then embellishing with my hand-dyed wools. Pattern includes dyed wool in
appropriate colors, complete instructions with yardage requirements
for the base fabric, and a full size appliqué pattern. Pattern is also suitable for traditional hand or machine
appliqué methods.
Please note that to quilt with this technique, you will need to purchase at least one package of
Colonial
(TM) Felting
Needles. I also recommend the use
of a Colonial (TM) Felting Needle Tool when felting in large areas of the
quilt. Colonial (TM) Felting Needles and the Felting Needle Tool are sold
separately on this site.
