Hand-Dyed Cotswold Wool Curls

The Cotswold sheep naturally grow a fabulous coat of curly wool ringlets. After the sheep are sheared, I keep the locks as intact as possible and dye them into the most beautiful parti-colored mixture of blues, greens, yellows, oranges, reds, purples, and all the shades in between.  

This is the stuff of color fantasy! Use them as doll hair (they would look fabulous on my Mermaid Doll) or needle-felt them to any of your felted creations. Many crafters use Cotswold locks in the natural white for Santa beards. This wool is also suitable for spinning and weaving.
